Dear Prospective LPN Student:
Thank you for your interest in the Licensed Practical Nursing Program at James Rumsey Technical Institute. The students for the 2013-2014 LPN class will be selected from the people who pass the ATI - TEAS Pre-Admission Test, which will be given March 2013.
Preparation for the 2013-2014 class will begin in November 2012, with official testing occurring in March 2013. Please call the Jill S. Weekley Learning Center at (304) 754-9712 for the orientation schedule. Everyone must schedule and attend an orientation (approximately one hour).
The following information is provided for your convenience. Students accepted in the LPN program must meet the following pre-requisites:
- Must be a high school graduate or have passed the GED Test
- Must score at least a 58.7 percentile on the ATI - TEAS Pre-Admission Test (minimum proficiency)
- Must be in good physical health as evidenced by a physical examination prior to the first day of class. A drug screen is required in addition to an FBI criminal background check. The current cost of the background check is $20.00
- Must be interviewed by the LPN staff
Our next class will begin July 2013. Class size is limited to 40 students. The LPN Official ATI - TEAS Pre-Admission test will be given March 2013. You may call the Jill S. Weekley Learning Center at (304) 754-9712 for further testing information. The cost of the LPN program is approximately $7000.00 for in-state students and $7200.00 for out-of-state students.
